The Miracle That Shook the Greatest Scientist in History (Pascal)
What happens when the most rigorous science encounters a miracle impossible to explain? In this video, we discover the true and documented story of Blaise Pascal, one of the greatest geniuses, scientists, and mathematicians in the history of France, and the extraordinary medical miracle that changed his life and his faith forever.
In 1656, his 10-year-old niece, Marguerite Périer, was facing death because of a severe and incurable fistula in her eye. The best doctors and surgeons of the King of France had given up. But contact with a priceless relic — the Holy Thorn from the Crown of Jesus Christ, preserved at the monastery of Port-Royal — caused an instantaneous and total healing, certified by the very same astonished doctors.
This inexplicable event shook Pascal, showing him that God is not merely a mathematical concept, but a living Father who intervenes in our history. Discover the medical reports, the official investigation of the Church, and the secret Pascal hid in his coat until his death.

All the facts narrated in this video are documented and can be checked in historical archives and official biographies. You can verify them yourself by searching for these sources online:
The 1656 Medical Report: The healing of Marguerite Périer on March 24, 1656, was certified in writing by renowned doctors of the time, including the physician Dalencé and Félix, first surgeon to the Queen of France, who attested to the scientific impossibility of a spontaneous healing.
The Church’s Approval: The miracle of the Holy Thorn was officially recognized as authentic by the Diocese of Paris on October 22, 1656, after months of strict investigation conducted by the vicar general of Cardinal de Retz.
Pascal’s Seal: Following the miracle, Pascal adopted a new personal emblem featuring an eye surrounded by a crown of thorns and the motto Scio cui credidi — “I know whom I have believed” — still visible today in historical documents connected to his family.
Pascal’s “Memorial”: The parchment containing the testimony of his mystical encounter with God, which took place on November 23, 1654 and laid the foundation for his total conversion, later culminating in the miracle involving his niece, was truly found sewn into the lining of his doublet after his death.
The Pensées: Pascal’s monumental apologetic work in defense of the Christian Faith, written in the years immediately following the miracle.
