The Hidden Miracle in Roman Records | The Sign That Stopped an Emperor
In 363 AD, the Roman emperor Julian the Apostate attempted one of the most provocative undertakings in ancient history: to rebuild the Temple of Jerusalem.
According to Christian tradition, that act was not merely a political or religious project. It was a direct challenge to the prophecy of Jesus, who had announced: “Not one stone will be left upon another.”
But during the work, something inexplicable happened.
It was not only a Christian source that reported it. Ammianus Marcellinus, a pagan Roman historian and admirer of Julian, also recorded the event. In his work Res Gestae, Ammianus recounts that terrifying globes of fire burst out near the foundations of the Temple, making it impossible to continue the work.
Was it only a natural phenomenon? An earthquake? Underground gas? Or was it a sign of Divine Providence?
In this video, we tell the story of the emperor who tried to defy Jesus, the ancient pagan document that describes the event, and the prophecy that Rome could not erase.
